The Kenneth B.
Schwartz Center
NECCS
The Kenneth B. Schwartz Center is dedicated to strengthening the relationship between
patients and caregivers in the changing health care system. Their mission is:

"To support and advance compassionate health care in which caregivers, patients and
their families relate to one another in a way that provides hope to the patient, support to
caregivers, and sustenance to the healing process."
I met Kyle when he was a student  at MIT.  He was 3 years old when he was diagnosed
with cancer and has been actively involved in raising awareness and providing support for
the cause ever since. He and two friends biked cross country during the summer of 2003 to
raise money and awareness.
The New England Coalition for Cancer Survivorship (NECCS) is a coalition of survivors,
family members, friends, caregivers and cancer-related organizations working together to
address common issues that affect the quality of life and fair treatment of cancer
survivors in the New England region.

"...From the time of discovery and for the balance of life, an individual diagnosed with
cancer is a survivor."
